Jewish Museum of Florida names familiar face as new director

Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU has named acting director Susan Gladstone as the museum’s official director.

Friday’s announcement by Kenneth G. Furton, provost and executive vice president of Florida International University, capitalizes on Gladstone’s institutional experience in the acting directorship and previously, as its director of development.

The museum’s Miami Beach facility serves both as exhibition space and as a research center focused on the Jewish experience in Florida.

Prior to joining museum, Gladstone directed development for all of FIU’s Jewish Strategic Initiatives, as well as United Way’s Veritage Miami fundraiser, sponsorship for South Beach Food and Wine and vice president of Logistics Management Group.
