President Donald Trump Makes 'Threesome' Joke About Sons Eric and Don Jr.
President Donald Trump is raising eyebrows for his latest joke involving his sons, Donald Trump Jr.and Eric Trump.
While attending the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota on Wednesday, July 1, the commander in chief, 80, expressed his wishes to one day receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
"Now, as I see my two beautiful sons sitting there, I think I'm going to give one to myself, one to them and we'll have a threesome, OK," he said during a speech. "I'll pick out one of the two. I'll give them the Congressional Medal of Honor for something. For their genius at hunting, and I'll get one for taking on Russia, Russia, Russia, or something, and we'll have a third pair. Now I'm only kidding."
Soon after sharing the joke, the president predicted that he could soon make a few headlines.
"This is dangerous to say, because the fake news is up there all over the place when I joke," he explained. "I learned early on, don't be sarcastic in politics."
Both Eric, 42, and Don Jr., 48, appeared to be unbothered by the joke. In separate social media posts, the brothers shared a glimpse into their trip to North Dakota.
"Proud to be an American and forever humbled to be part of this incredible journey," Eric - who is married to Lara Trump - wrote via Instagram on Wednesday. "We truly live in the greatest country on earth… 🇺🇸🇺🇸."
Don Jr. - who recently marriedBettina Anderson in May - reposted an Instagram Story from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt that read, "Great day with a great team."
Elsewhere in his speech, the president poked fun at his sons for giving him a hard time about his recent accomplishments.
"There are very few people who have [the Congressional Medal of Honor]," Donald shared. "I want to give one to myself, but they tell me I'm not allowed to. My son over here, both of them, I said, ‘Fellas, I'd love to give one of them to me. What have I done, where I deserve it,' and they couldn't think of anything. So I'm not happy with them today."
Family jokes aside, the president is gearing up to celebrate the 4th of July. Days before the holiday, Donald shared a glimpse into how he will mark the weekend.
"We are proud to celebrate America's 250th Birthday in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Birthplace of our very special, one-of-a-kind Declaration of Independence and where I won BIG in the Presidential Election!" he wrote via Truth Social on Wednesday. "America has never been stronger than it is now, and Gas Prices will soon be back to the Record Low Prices Americans enjoyed at the pump before our very successful ‘excursion' in Iran. Happy Birthday America!"
