Michael Rubin Clarifies Whether White Party Was Moved for Taylor Swift

Michael Rubin is addressing speculation his iconic 4th of July White Party in the Hamptons moved dates because of Taylor Swiftand Travis Kelce's rumored wedding.

"We were debating the dates," Rubin, 53, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, July 1. "We were certainly aware of that date, but we didn't change it because of that date."

He continued, "But we were aware of that date and we didn't want to have people have to choose."

Rubin's famed White Party occurred on Wednesday, three days before Independence Day. The exclusive event has always been held during the 4th of July weekend at his Bridgehampton estate, but has only been held on the actual holiday once since the annual gathering began in 2021.

"People come to the White Party no matter when we do it," he said. "The White Party is going to be spectacular."

Rubin, who is a Fanatics executive, went on to tease all the star-studded events happening in New York for the next few weeks.

"I'll tell you one thing. I think the stars are going to be in New York from July 1 till July 19. New York's never seen anything like this," he said. "You've got the White Party, the best party in the world, followed by [Swift's] wedding a few days later, followed by Fanatics Fest. Oh, and this little thing called the World Cup, which has the finale here in New York… You've got the ESPY Awards that moved to the night before Fanatics Fest."

Swift and Kelce, both 36, have been rumored to be tying the knot over the July 4 weekend at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The couple, who announced their engagement, have yet to publicly disclose any information about their nuptials. Several of their famous pals - including Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter and more - have been spotted out and about around the Big Apple and surrounding area as speculation continues to swirl about the date they say "I do."

During a recent episode of his and brother Jason Kelce's "New Heights" podcast, Kansas City Chiefs tight end made headlines when he said that 4th of July celebrations can produce "great memories."

"4th of July weekend is right around the corner," Travis said during an Expedia ad break. "We all have that one 4th of July trip we still talk about. … The one that turned a long weekend into a core memory."
