3 Best New Hulu Movies to Watch This Weekend (April 24-26): ‘No Other Choice' and More

Loyal dogs, killer employees and world-ending disasters - it's just another hit-filled month on Hulu.

The Disney-owned streamer is streaming some of the biggest and most critically acclaimed films in April, and Watch With Us has selected only the best for you to stream this weekend.

At the top of our list are two very different 2025 movies: the killer satire No Other Choice and the unsettling horror picture Good Boy.

If you're looking for some vintage thrillers, join Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal as they try to survive The Day After Tomorrow.

‘No Other Choice' (2025)

Everyone knows the job market is tough, but for Man-su (Lee Byung-hun), it's murder - literally. After getting laid off from a cushy middle-management position at a papermaking company, the fiftysomething family man is having a tough time finding the right job - or any job, for that matter. That's why when a potential spot opens up, he goes after it by eliminating the competition by any means necessary. But will Man-su's newfound killer instinct save his family from financial ruin?

One of 2025's most critically acclaimed movies, No Other Choice is a pitch-black comedy from South Korea that pretty much anybody in the world can relate to. With unemployment on the rise and applying to jobs an almost Kafkaesque task nowadays, Man-su's dilemma is understandable, even when he's revving up a chainsaw to dismember his competitors. The movie balances its incisive social commentary and absurd comedy well, with Squid Game veteran Byung-hun giving an outstanding, Golden Globe-nominated performance as a man with increasingly few options left in life.

No Other Choice is streaming on Hulu.

‘Good Boy' (2025)

Who's the good boy in Good Boy? It's Indy (as himself), the faithful dog to Todd (Shane Jensen). They've both relocated from New York City to the country after Todd's grandfather passed away. All alone in the late grandfather's secluded estate, the two hear strange noises at night. Todd brushes them off as wild animals in the forest, but Indy soon discovers someone - or something - is staying with them. Can Indy convince his owner they're both in serious danger?

Good Boy is a groundbreaking film - it's the first horror picture told from the perspective of a cutie patootie pooch. That alone is reason enough to watch it, but it's also an effectively creepy low-budget film about things that go bump in the night. It's not hyperbole to claim that a new star is born with Indy, who commands the screen so well that he makes Lassie and Benji look like inexperienced puppies in comparison. He carries the picture on four legs, and he makes Good Boy a good horror film you'll remember long after you've watched it.

‘The Day After Tomorrow' (2004)

The world is edging closer to a climate crisis, but no one seems to be paying attention. That doesn't stop determined paleoclimatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) from sharing his opinion with anyone who will listen that a second Ice Age is coming and coming fast. As storms increase and temperatures drop across the globe, more people are finally realizing the world they're used to will soon be gone. That includes Jack's son, Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal), who finds himself in a life-or-death situation when a giant flood traps him and his friends in the New York Public Library. Jack can't save the world, but he'll do his best to save his son from a watery grave.

Directed by disaster-movie specialist Roland Emmerich, The Day After Tomorrow takes a serious subject and makes it the source for an action-packed spectacle. Global warming isn't the usual theme for a summer blockbuster, but that's what makes the film stand out - for all of its absurdity, it does convey a serious message. Quaid and Gyllenhaal are convincing as a father and son brought together by the end of the world, and the two-decade-old special effects are still impressive today.

The Day After Tomorrow is streaming on Hulu.
