2012
The Golden Globe winner revealed that he met a "documentary filmmaker" at a party in 2012 while preparing for his role in Inside Llewyn Davis. "I went to a party, and I was forced to be at this party, and I went dressed as Llewyn," he told NPR in December 2013. "It was a month before shooting. And then I was sitting in the corner just eating. I was the only person eating at the party. And this girl who ended up, she's a documentary filmmaker, so obviously she spotted the weirdo and went directly to that one. And [she] sat with me and talked to me for a long time. I guess she liked the whole thing." In March 2020, Lind seemed to confirm that she and the Card Counter actor met in 2012 when she wrote that her favorite dress "helped me lure in my now husband eight years ago."
2013
Lind directed her now-husband for the first time in 2013, as part of her Staircase Sessions project, in which she filmed musicians performing in stairwells. Isaac took part in four of the 13 videos she filmed.

The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2016 Golden Globe awards. The Moon Knight star kissed Lind as he made his way up to the stage to accept the award for Best Performance By An Actor In a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television for Show Me A Hero.
Early Spring 2017
Isaac and Lind quietly tied the knot in the spring of 2017. In February 2022, the Bobbi Jene director celebrated "5 Years of being married to this handsome fella," on Instagram, noting that they had just 5 guests in attendance at their intimate celebration. However, in January 2018, Isaac told GQ that they pair had gotten married the previous March.
April 2017
The couple welcomed their first child not long after they decided to get married. Isaac and Lind chose the name Eugene in honor of the Ex Machina actor's late mother, who died a few months earlier.
October 2019
Isaac and Lind welcomed their second son - who they named Mads - two and a half years after Eugene was born.
August 2020
The Songs For Alexis director announced that the short film she made with Isaac, The Letter Room, would make its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival. The movie, in which the Dune actor plays a prison guard who gets overly involved with the life of one of his inmates, was eventually nominated for the Academy Award for Best Life Action Short Film in March 2021.
November 2020
The pair also became business partners near the end of 2020 when they established a production company together called Mad Gene Media. "We have podcasts, shorts, docs, fiction and graphic novels in the making," Lind wrote via Instagram while announcing their collaboration.
September 2021
While Isaac made headlines (and broke hearts) by stroking and kissing Jessica Chastain's arm at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Scenes From a Marriage, Lind was spotted waiting to the side of the red carpet, laughing at her husband goofing off for the cameras. "We went to college together at Julliard," Chastain explained during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert later that month. "We're both married to other people, we've been friends for more than 20 years."
February 2022
The duo wore coordinating pink ensembles to the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, where Isaac was a presenter. "Thank you to the magicians that fixed us up so beautifully and made us red carpet ready ... You guys rock! We appreciate you," Lind wrote via Instagram the next day.
