Island City Stage offers 10 percent early bird ticket discount
Topher Payne’s Angry Fags has a provocative title, for sure, but the rich script — described as “an Oscar Wilde-meets-Fight Club fever dream” — is just the sort of pithy dark comedy that Fort Lauderdale’s award-winning Island City Stage embraces. Running Nov. 12 to Dec. 13 at Island City’s new home in the Abyss Theatre, 2304 N. Dixie Hwy., Wilton Manors, the play features a pair of gay friends who decide to put the fear of guys like themselves into the more homophobic segments of society.
Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday. And until Nov. 11, Island City is offering a 10 percent ticket discount on its $35 tickets. Use the code “EARLY” when you make reservations at 954-519-2533 or www.islandcitystage.org.
