College students can catch Arsht Center shows for $20 with UTIX
If you’re a full-time college student who loves the arts, you’re in luck. Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is offering Arsht UTIX, a program offering $20 tickets to a wide variety of the shows the center presents. Through Sunday, registered students can get the deeply discounted tickets to see Chester Gregory’s dynamic portrayal of singing legend Jackie Wilson in The Eve of Jackie in the Carnival Studio Theater or Miami City Ballet’s season-opening program featuring scenes from Swan Lake in the Ziff Ballet Opera House. Broadway shows, concerts, dance performances, comedy shows, plays and more are offered throughout the season.
Here’s how the program works. Students, who must have a valid photo ID, register online and get email notifications when new shows become available. Purchased tickets should be printed at home, then shown with the ID at the event. The Arsht Center is at 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Register at http://www.arshtcenter.org/Tickets/arsht-utix/.
