Broward Center to present Pilobolus, Momix in 2015-2016

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts has put together a 2015-16 season of performances by well-known companies for dance aficionados. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 14 for the five events in the series, which will begin Nov. 27-28 with Momix performing the steeped-in-fantasy piece Botanica, choreographed by Moses Pendleton. Performances in the Broward Center’s Amaturo Theater are at 7:30 p.m. both evenings, with a 3 p.m. matinee Nov. 28, and tickets cost $39.50-$49.50. The company will also teach a master class at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 for participants 14 and older, with a fee of $30 to participate and $15 to observe.

Blaze the Show, a celebration of street dance with design elements from the worlds of theater and music, plays the Parker Playhouse at 6 p.m. Jan. 31, with tickets priced at $35.50-$55.50. The Moscow Festival Ballet comes to the Parker at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 with its production of Sleeping Beauty. Those tickets cost $26.50-$56.50.

Fan favorites Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo returns to the Parker at 8 p.m. April 15, with tickets priced at $37.50-$57.50. The Broward Center is at 201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale.
