Keeping kids entertained in the summer isn’t easy, but The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton has enough ideas — and discounts — to justify a road trip. Partnering with Dream Child Productions, the theater is presenting Jack and the Beanstalk July 10-11 and July 17-18, and Miranda and the Frog Prince July 31-Aug. 1 and Aug. 7-8; performances are at 10 a.m., with additional 1 p.m. shows July 17 and Aug. 7. Tickets are $12 and $15. If you decide to go to both shows, you can get a half-price child’s ticket to the Wick’s Peter Pan, running Aug. 6-30, plus a 20 percent discount in the theater’s gift shop. The Wick is also offering a show-and-lunch package in its restaurant for $25.

Professional South Florida actors, including Carbonell Award winner Clay Cartland, Leah Sessa, Ronen Bay, Gail Byer, Ric Ducosin and Lisa Grossman, are in the Jack and Miranda casts. The Wick is at 7901 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton. For information, call 561-995-2333 or visit www.thewick.org.
