Members of the Girl Choir of South Florida, a choir for girls ages 6 to 18 from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, will sing an Evensong service with the Canterbury Cathedral Choir during the International Children’s Choir Festival in London July 18-25. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the choir is the only one chosen from all of the festival choirs to sing at the service.

Indianapolis Children’s Choir artistic director Henry Leck and Canterbury Cathedral master of the choristers David Flood will conduct a private workshop for the Girl Choir, which will also present its own concert. Wallis Peterson is the group’s artistic director. Choir members are paying 70 percent of their travel costs, with the group trying to raise the additional 30 percent by June 30.
