A night out to see theater or a concert can turn really expensive if pre- or post-show dining is part of your plans. Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Center for the Performng Arts has partnered with 10 area restaurants for day-of-show specials and discounts — all you need to do is show your ticket to a Broward Center or Parker Playhouse performance to take advantage of an offer on the same day.

Within a short walk from the Broward Center, The Chimney House (701 W. Las Olas Blvd.) is offering a three-course $25 theater dinner, the Himmarshee Public House (201 SW Second St.) is offering 20 percent off a check (excluding tax and tip), and Tarpon Bend (200 SW Second St.) will give a free appetizer with an entree purchase.

Also participating are The Royal Pig Pub (350 E. Las Olas Blvd.), with a $55 theater dinner for two; the Tilted Kilt (219 S. Andrews Ave.) and 15th Street Fisheries (1900 SE 15th St.), both giving a 20 percent discount (excluding tax and tip); YOLO (333 E. Las Olas Blvd.), offering a free dessert with an entree purchase; Grille 401 (401 E. Las Olas Blvd.), taking $20 off any bottle of wine $40 or higher; Bimini Boatyard (1555 SE 17th St.), offering a free appetizer with entree purchase; and Café Vico (1125 N. Federal Hwy.), providing a free glass of house wine with an entree purchase.
