Cultural Connection cuts ticket prices in half

If you’re not a plan-ahead person or don’t mind waiting until the last minute in order to spend less on arts events, WLRN’s Cultural Connection just may be your ticket. A long list of theaters from Key West to Jupiter sells half-price tickets until 5 p.m. on the day of a performance, adding on a $4.50 service fee that goes to WLRN, the Theatre League of South Florida and to sustain the Cultural Connection program. You purchase online via credit card and can buy up to eight tickets, then pick up your tickets at the box office by showing the same credit card up to an hour before the performance time.

The list of tickets offered changes daily, but among the participating theaters and organizations are Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, the Florida Grand Opera, GableStage, the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Miami Light Project, the New World Symphony and Seraphic Fire.
