Ryan O’Neal, Ali MacGraw to reunite in ‘Love Letters’
Actors Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal may be far more mature than they were when they teamed for 1970’s romantic movie tragedy Love Story, but the two haven’t given up on love. The actors will reunite for a national tour of the A.R. Gurney play Love Letters, portraying Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, a couple whose 50-year relationship is revealed through their letters to each other. Gregory Mosher, who staged the play on Broadway, will direct the tour.
The tour will begin July 21-26 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW Fifth St., Fort Lauderdale, with subsequent dates in Los Angeles, Detroit, Boston, Dallas, Baltimore and other cities. Performances are 8 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $35-$141.60 and are now on sale. For information, call 800-745-3000 or visit www.browardcenter.org.
