Real Men Sing Show Tunes and Play with Puppets, a funny and insightful musical revue that had its world premiere at Actors’ Playhouse in Coral Gables in the summer of 2012, is headed for this year’s New York Musical Theatre Festival in July. Created by Paul Louis and Nick Santa Maria, the retitled Real Men explores the stages of modern manhood with live performers and puppets.

Louis, Santa Maria and Stephen G. Anthony, the cast of Actors’ world premiere at the Miracle Theatre, will reprise their roles under the direction of David Arisco, the artistic director at Actors’ Playhouse. Musical director Manny Schvartzman, who did the vocal and piano arrangements for the show, will also be on hand for the New York performances. Specific details of the festival and the dates, times and ticket prices for the show’s run are still coming together, but you’ll be able to find more information at www.nymf.org.
