Mad Cat is having a quinceañera fundraiser

Miami’s Mad Cat Theatre Company is turning 15 and throwing itself a quinceañera. The party will help fund its upcoming Mad Cat Live! contemporary concert series (that debuts with performances of RAM by Paul and Linda McCartney at 8 p.m. July 31-Aug. 1) and its August world premiere of Lazy Fair by Theo Reyna. The celebration happens July 17 from 7 to 11 p.m. in the SandBox at Miami Theater Center, 9806 NE Second Ave., Miami Shores.

The party features a DJ and music from the Mad Cat Live band — Jim Camacho, Erik Fabregat, Brian Sayre, Matt Corey, Steph Taylor and Darren Bruck — along with food, drinks, dancing, face painting, a photo booth and more.
