Netflix loves Adam Sandler movies so much that it’s adding four more of his films

If you’re an Adam Sandler fan, Netflix has great news for you.

Four more Adam Sandler movies will be coming to the platform soon, Netflix announced Friday.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only ... Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,” Sandler said in a statement, according to the New York Times. “Let the streaming begin!”

Users have spent 2 billion hours watching Sandler movies since his first Netflix original, Polygon reported. That success prompted the company to work with Sandler again to produce four more movies.

Netflix first worked with Sandler in 2014 to produce and star in four films for the platform, The Verge reported. It “re-upped that deal for another four films in 2017,” according to The Verge.

Sandler has starred in several Netflix originals, including The Ridiculous 6,” “The Do-Over,” “Sandy Wexler,” “The Week Of,” and “Murder Mystery.”

The New York Times reported that Netflix will finance the new movies and work with Happy Madison Productions, which was founded by Sandler, to make the movies. It’s unclear what the movies will be, but Polygon reported that Sandler “will write, produce and star in” an animated film.

“Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can’t get enough of him,” Netflix COO Ted Sarandos in a statement, according to Polygon. “They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with Murder Mystery. So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”
