U.S Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte apologized on Instagram for all the hoopla in Rio during the Summer Olympics.

In the post, the University of Florida alum said he regretted taking the focus away from other Olympic athletes.
“This was a situation that could and should have been avoided,” Lochte said of his drunken night out. “I accept responsibility for my role in this happening and have learned some valuable lessons.”
The 12-time Olympic medalist originally said that a gun wielding man at a gas station but Brazilian cops called him out after surveillance video showed Lochte and three other swimmers vandalizing a bathroom and were confronted by security guards — who yes had guns.
