‘Big Brother’ star’s stylish life goes 24/7
A few recent tweets from Victoria Rafaeli (hashtag: princessvictoria) say it all.
“Current mood: Overwhelmed.” “Because who needs sleep anyways?” “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.”
We get it. The Weston-based Big Brother season 16 house guest, 22, has a heck of a lot going on. Last week, the Brooklyn, N.Y., native attended the NATPE conference at the Fontainebleau, hanging with big leaguers like Jay Leno and Howie Mandel. All the while the style maven was posting pictures on her site, Victoria’s Visions, which she launched after receiving so much feedback from viewers of the CBS reality show wanting to know how to dress like her.
We caught up with the busy lady who graduated from Cypress Bay High School and attended Broward College:
How would you describe what you do for a living?
My career is everything I had been wishing for since I was a little girl. A reality star. TV personality. Fashion blogger. Photographer. Philanthropist. There’s never a dull moment. From appearances, to photo shoots, meet and greets and capturing those magical moments with a camera, I am blessed. My fans motivate me and support me every day with such positive energy.
How has life changed since you came in third place on “Big Brother” last year?
Two words describe it — controlled chaos. I have been trying to get back to some sort of routine and think I’m getting the hang of it. I am an early bird; my mornings usually start around 7:30. I go to the gym for about an hour to get my energy boost. Once that’s out of the way, it’s time to get fabulous. I shoot almost every day for the OOTD (outfit of the day). Later, there are meetings for products I’m launching, or with clients interested in my photography, staying connected with social media, writing, returning emails. Being an entrepreneur is not a 9-5 job but 24/7.
What’s your favorite thing about living in South Florida?
It’s like living in paradise, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My favorite things to do in my time off would hands down have to be pool parties, tanning, dancing, being surrounded by beautiful people, and even enjoying a cocktail. At night, I love going to chic lounges or dancing salsa. Brickell and Midtown are my go-to neighborhoods.
What are three top trends you are seeing for spring/summer?
Stripes are everywhere this season. They aren't just placed straight across, but in angles to flatter the body and give it the hourglass shape. Denim can be worn in different washes and different ways, casual or dressy — shirts, dresses, jumpsuits and rompers. White lace is classy and chic.
What is something every SoFla woman should own?
A backless maxi dress! You can rock this look pretty much all year. It screams sexy, yet looks extremely effortless, and, if you ask me, that’s wardrobe magic. With the right accessories and shoes, you can take it from casual to evening in a blink of an eye. A designer bag is also key. The trends are always changing, but there should always be space in the closet for mainstay pieces.
