MDC president at state dinner


Eduardo Padron, president of Miami Dade College and most recently appointed honorary consul to the Kingdom of Morocco, was a guest at Friday’s White House State Dinner with the five Nordic allies: the president of Finland and prime ministers of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. Demi Lovato provided the entertainment. Other celebs included the recently canceled Nashville’s Connie Britton, singer Janelle Monae and rapper Common, who was referred to on a White House press release as “Mr. Common.”

Dan Marino supported his friend, fellow former Dolphins QB Don Strock, Wednesday at the 33rd annual Don Strock Diabetes Golf Classic benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute at the Miccosukee Golf & Country Club. He had another engagement and came to the event dressed in business attire but like a true athlete still played a few rounds with his friend.
