Lauren Bush-Lauren went from one American dynasty to another when she married fashion designer Ralph Lauren’s youngest son, David Lauren, in 2011.
The 31-year-old Colorado native calls two presidents Grandpa (George H.W.) and Uncle (W), while dad is businessman Neil Bush.
But she doesn’t like talking politics, thank you very much. The former model is a big-time philanthropist, heading up FEED Projects, helping combat hunger around the world with the United Nations. Lauren-Bush recently helped design a pouch with Clarins, as a gift with purchase — and purpose — starting at beauty counters Friday, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Can you describe the bags?
The pouches are great make-up carriers: White cotton with a fun yet elevated red pattern. Each comes filled with some of Clarins’ bestselling products and gives 10 school meals, signified by the number 10 printed subtly on the side.
What do you think of Miami fashion?
I wish I got to visit more often. I’ve only been a handful of times, but I’ve always been struck by the vibrant culture of the city. The fashion seems to reflect that vibrancy and freedom, with bold colors and expressive prints everywhere. I love that.
Designing anything else that would work for us down here?
My FEED team and I are releasing our first-ever straw collection. These bags were designed to be great summer staples, with some really fun pops of color in playful pom poms. I can’t wait to wear the clutch for summer date nights, and the tote for beach days.
How is everything else going?
Life is really good. Almost five months into motherhood, I am still adjusting the magic of becoming a mom to my sweet baby James. I’m blessed to have the privilege of soaking in many sweet moments with him.
