Iggy Azalea in Miami after alleged cheating video scandal; D’Angelo Russell apologizes

Iggy Azalea in the house!

The singer told People she will participate in the eighth annual Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade April 10. The rapper will join Y100 Morning Show host Elvis Duran on a float along Ocean Drive.

She tweeted: “see you in miami @elvisdurran i cant wait! such a special city to me!”

Why this story is so interesting: if you recall, last summer, the Aussie rapper pulled out of an appearance at the Pittsburgh Pride parade after a few of her old tweets surfaced with disparaging terms for homosexuals.

Haters called out Azalea — who later apologized — so she’s out to prove them wrong. Plus, of course, to promote her new song, Team, on iTunes.

Hey guys, I'm releasing new Music this Friday - tell a friend!

Azalea is in the news for another reason — a personal one.

Her estranged (we are assuming here, people!) fiance, Los Angeles Lakers player Nick “Swaggy P” Young, was apparently videotaped by teammate D’Angelo Russell, admitting to cheating on her. The video is being circulated on social media and Russell is now being shunned in the locker room, reports

Speaking before Wednesday night’s home game against the Miami Heat, Russell apologized profusely for recording the video, saying his actions have created “a bad vibe” with teammates.

As for Azalea, she’s been fairly mum, tweeting she was “chillin.”

On Twitter, she thanked Russell for bringing the matter to her attention, posting “Thanks bro” and telling him she “liked his film.”

In more pleasant news, Orange is the New Black star Taryn Manning is helping bring the fun to the Macy’s MEN MUSIC FASHION event the night of the parade at ICON. The actress will be performing her single Send Me Your Love starting at 9:30 p.m. and there will be a fashion show from Marco Marco. Table reservations for the Elaine Lancaster-hosted fundraiser: 305-479-7839.

“As the host and emcee for Gay Pride again this year I am excited that Macy’s and Marco Marco asked me to be the emcee for this wonderful event that will round out the Pride weekend,” said Lancaster, who also has another fun gig coming up. Starting this Sunday, the former Real Housewives of Miami star will headline a bottomless “Drag Brunch” at Señor Frog’s, 1450 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. $39.95 includes brunch and limitless cocktails from noon to 4 p.m. Reservations are recommended, as is an Uber ride home. 212-481-6203.
