Flo Rida, Pleasure P hit Katsuya

Flo Rida and fellow rapper Pleasure P had dinner Saturday at Katsuya. They had baked crab hand rolls and miso cod, drank Red Bull/Grey Goose and Ciroc pineapple with pineapple juice. Spies say they were excited to hang out watching football in Katsuya’s Dragon Lounge.

Fresh off his Christmas Day release of The Young OG Project, Fabolous will be hosting his OG’s 11 New Year’s Eve party presented by Hennessy VS at IVY Nightclub. The theme? An ode to Ocean’s 11 —sort of: the rapper, we’re told, plans to bring 11 models.

Miami’s biggest Christmas party was at the AmericanAirlines Arena for the return of LeBron James to Miami. After the Heat’s glorious win against the Cleveland Cavaliers, arena hot spot Hyde was hopping as Gabrielle Union, Fat Joe and Flo Rida all joined DJ Irie for the victory celebration.

There’s a book out there creating a bit of buzz around town with a title that may ring a bell to, well, everyone. Former Miami resident Buck Winthrop has expertly encapsulated the shallow, superficial, scandalous, over-hyped, often unintentionally hilarious nature of South Beach’s halcyon days in his self-published novel Ocean Drive, which fuses fact with fiction in a marvelous mashup of Magic City zeitgeist. Ocean Drive, the author insists, has no connection to the magazine. To download a free copy, go to http://goo.gl/72sjoC.
