Long before Basel was nothing more than a city in Switzerland to Miami folk, Sylvester Stallone was doing art. Making art. Painting. We remember his house parties celebrating such. Sly was a visionary and is back in town for Art Basel and a private party thrown by Russia’s Galerie Gmurzynska at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday that he will co-host with art curator and critic Germano Celant at the ex Versace mansion.
ART LOVERS
While last year’s big rumor was that Lady Gaga was expected to show up at Art Basel (she didn’t), this year we are eagerly anticipating the hoped-for arrival of Brangelina. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may or may not show up at some of the Art Basel events at the quietly opened, hyper swanky Faena Miami Beach, for which Pitt, also a furniture designer, has designed a communal table in the wine room. Jolie, however, is the president of the honorary committee of the Cambodian International Film Festival, which runs from Friday through Dec. 10 — in Cambodia.

HOOP DREAMS
Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem attended Saturday’s grand opening of the new Edition Boutique, a store that sells athletic wear and sneakers, 7450 NW 104th Ave., in Doral. The retailer, the official U.S. authorized retailer for Wade’s signature shoes, Way of Wade by Li-Ning, opened its doors at 10 a.m., offering the first 10 customers a picture and autograph. An eyewitness says the Miami Heat stars also interacted with attendees, exiting through the front doors into a crowd of screaming fans, playing around with kids and doing what they do best — shooting hoops.
