Where do these people find the energy? On Sunday evening, Amar’e Stoudemire was the guest of honor at his very own birthday party hosted by Haute Living magazine at Cipriani Downtown Miami. The power forward, who turned 33 on Monday, arrived with his wife and mother of his four kids, Alexis Welch.
What’s surprising is that teammate Dwyane Wade, who hosted his A Night on the Runwade shindig on Saturday night, looked fresh as a daisy as did wife Gabrielle Union.
Among the attendees were rappers Timbaland and Ace Hood (who is from Port St. Lucie), Ballers costars Donovan Carter and Arielle Kebbel as well as a taller crowd that included teammates Chris “Birdman” Anderson and Udonis Haslem. The latter two athletes also attended Runwade and, impressively, did not let out even one yawn as far as we know.
Decadent from top to bottom, the event had a snazzy Ferrari right in the middle of the dining room, new model La Ferrari Hublot watches on display, a custom on site cigar roller provided by Fuente Cigars. The air was filled with the scent of Basquiat “King Pleasure” candles, the b-baller’s favorite — an ode to his love for contemporary artist Basquiat.
Miami Heat team owners and players chipped in, with the help of event sponsor, Hublot, to present Amar’e with a special edition watch.
