Lucky Rudy Abreu doesn’t have to worry about portion control on Thanksgiving.
Because the following evening, the Kendall-born professional dancer will be burning beaucoup calories when he helps kick off the 2014 So You Think You Can Dance Tour at the Ziff Ballet Opera House.
This hot ticket features the Fox competition’s most popular routines, as well as original pieces, performed by a lineup that includes other Top 10 SYTYCD finalists as well as this past season (11)’s grand prize winner, fellow Miami native Ricky Ubeda.
Abreu, who attended Florida Christian School and New World School of the Arts, calls his style “very masculine and unique.”

The super-fit 19-year-old doesn’t think fans of the “high energy” show, hitting more than 70 U.S. cities, will be disappointed.
And if inquiring minds want to know.... Abreu is not dating fellow season 11 contestant Jacque LeWarne, although the two are “great friends.” He confirms he is dating a different competitor. But because a true gentleman never kisses and tells, we checked his Twitter account, and found a pic of Abreu cozying up for a “beach day” with Valerie Rockey. The tapper from Indianapolis is also on the tour.
Abreu has certainly fulfilled many of his goals at a young age. Any advice be anyone who would like to follow in his footsteps?
“Never give up on your dreams,” he says. “And always be the hardest worker in the room.”
