Marc Anthony to headline Make-A-Wish Ball
Just over a month after hitting the AmericanAirlines Arena on Oct. 2 and 3, Grammy Award-winning Latin superstar Marc Anthony will return to perform at the Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball on Nov. 7. The theme of this year’s Ball is Greek mythology. Shareef Malnik, owner of The Forge Restaurant & Wine Bar, will chair the event, while actress and filmmaker Gabrielle Anwar will once again serve as celebrity emcee.
More than 850 guests will partake of small Mediterranean bites and an exclusive silent auction from 7-8:30 p.m. before the Grand Ballroom opens up to dinner, dancing and a special performance by Anthony. The night will continue until 3 a.m. with an after-party at the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball Starlight Nightclub, headlined by DJ Chuckie.
Tickets for the nightclub are $100, but there’s no charge to those already attending the ball. Tickets and table reservations can be made at makeawishball.com.

Making the rounds
Well, that’s against the sisterhood code: Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Scott Disick hooked up with ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian’s friend Kimberly Stewart quite a few times, sources told Us Weekly.
“It was going on for several weeks,” said one source, who adds that the pair were intimate the night of Aug. 26, after her brother Sean’s 35th birthday party. Another witness told Us Weekly that when Disick, 32, arrived at Hollywood lounge Warwick, he made a beeline for rocker Rod Stewart’s 36-year-old daughter: “He immediately sat on the couch next to Kim and put his arm around her.”
Big mistake
They’ve been split for almost a decade, but Jessica Simpson says her three-year marriage to ex-husband Nick Lachey was her worst financial mistake, according to People.com.
“The biggest money mistakes? I don’t know. For some reason I thought of my first marriage,” Simpson said, laughing, when she was asked about her biggest money mistakes during an appearance on CNBC’s Closing Bell on Thursday.
Host Kelly Evans replied, “That’s actually a common answer, believe it or not.”
After her divorce, Simpson, 35, married Eric Johnson; the pair have two children — daughter Maxwell Drew, 3, and son Ace Knute, 2.
