— As a veteran celebrity reporter, Nancy O’Dell has seen her share of red carpets. Now the Entertainment Tonight co-anchor is using the knowledge she’s gained from awards ceremonies and press junkets to start her own fashion line with Evine Live!, an online and cable TV shopping destination.

A few pieces from the eponymous women’s collection were shown to VIP attendees of a lunch hosted by Sirius XM radio show The MOMS With Denise & Melissa at Il Valentino Osteria restaurant Thursday in the Sutton Place neighborhood of Manhattan to coincide with New York Fashion Week.

O’Dell’s inspiration? All her famous interviewees: “I saw how fabulous stars looked — sophisticated, elegant but always with a little edge,” said the 49-year-old South Carolina native. “But of course they have all the top stylists and designers putting their looks together. I wanted to do something accessible and on-trend for average folks so made sure nothing was over $99.”

On trend? Check.

“When I go shopping, I always lean toward the more fun clothes in the junior section,” says the mother of three. “There isn’t so much out there that’s adult but cool.”

When you think the NOD collection, think sleek jumpsuits, sexy shrugs and faux leather biker jackets, all of which could work on a cool evening out on South Beach.

“There are definitely things here for the Miami woman,” says O’Dell, who worked for a short time at WTVJ in the early ’90s. “I get how hot and humid it is there. It was hard to do a newscast in that weather, especially for the hair! But it’s a great town for news!”

The former Access Hollywood co-host has South Florida to thank for her start in entertainment reporting.

“I interviewed Madonna, who was down for a birthday party, and Michael Douglas, who was attending a festival. That was pretty big. I realized how fun and different it was. I loved it.”

O’Dell will livestream an appearance on Evine.com at 11 p.m. Friday.
