Learning can be cool, kids. Such celebrities as Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Bell and Jeremy Renner will partake in a one-hour fundraiser special for education 8 p.m. Friday. The four largest broadcast networks will simultaneously air the starry telecast. The Entertainment Industry Foundation is the same organization that ran the “Stand Up to Cancer” benefits; its Think It Up initiative is hoping to build excitement for learning in classrooms around the country.

VISIT

Staycationers, if you need something to do that’s family- and eco-friendly, the 1 Hotel South Beach has a new program for the kidlets. Seedlings kicked off last Saturday at the property with a VIP party attended by Best Buddies head Anthony Shriver and his brood; power publicist Lara Shriftman and her son Lucas; and developer David Martin.

The action goes down for travelers age 4-12 at two spots — Basecamp, an indoor area with a mini rock climbing wall and craft stations and at the property’s 600 feet of beachfront. Activities include nature walks, bird feeding, soccer, sand castle building, scavenger hunts and even cooking classes with fresh ingredients from the property’s garden.

Prices from $50 to $90 per child; weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. https://1hotels.com/south-beach
