So what possessed Carmen Electra to marry Dennis Rodman for about a year back in 1998?
The former Baywatch babe admits on this Sunday’s Oprah: Where Are They Now? on OWN that she was going through a period of “self-destruction” after her mother died of a brain tumor.
The flamboyant NBA legend was the life of the party and helped Electra drown out the pain. “People couldn’t understand why I loved him because he had a reputation for being a bad boy, and what I saw at the beginning was, sort of, this gentle giant that was in a lot of pain.”

Pitbull is staying busy. But don’t expect to see much of Mr. 305 in the 305. The local superstar heated things up on “Muy Caliente Monday” on Dancing With the Stars as a guest judge (actor Jonathan Bennett was later eliminated). Another gig for Pit: hosting the 2014 American Music Awards. The platinum-selling rapper will also perform at the Nov. 23 event at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, to air live on ABC. Later that week, Pitbull will perform during the halftime show on Thanksgiving when the Dallas Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles. The Nov. 27 game will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will air on Fox. Phew.
How is it possible that with access to the world’s top stylists, Kim Kardashian’s fashion sense gets worse, not better, as she grows older? The reality star, who turned 34 on Tuesday, stepped out in what has to be one of the tackiest outfits yet on Sunday for a movie date with husband Kanye West. Kardashian wore ripped denim cargo length cutoff shorts and a top with no back nor sides. At least the strappy sandals were from this era. We’re thinking that this millionairess — who RadarOnline recently reported commands $1 million per endorsement contract — needs to step it up a bit.
Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon apologized for a public disturbance that resulted in his arrest in Idaho over the weekend. On Facebook, Brendon blamed his behavior on “prescription pain medication to help me manage a cyst behind my knee cap,” mixed with alcohol. NBC affiliate KTVB in Boise reported that police were called to a disturbance in the lobby of an unidentified hotel Friday night. They say the actor showed signs of intoxication, refused their commands to stay seated, and was arrested when he tried to walk away. According to hotel staff, Brendon also broke a dish.
