Owen Wilson opens up about dad’s illness
Dallas-born actor Owen Wilson says that while his father having Alzheimer’s disease is “a rough thing,” he also knows that there are things to be grateful for, including that his father is being cared for at home and has people around who love him.
“You just have to do your best to deal with it. You’ve got no choice but to accept it,” Wilson told the Dallas Morning News in his first public comment about his 74-year-old father’s illness.
His father, Robert A. “Bob” Wilson, took charge of Dallas’ public television affiliate, KERA, in 1967. He hired Jim Lehrer for a local show, which led to The News Hour With Jim Lehrer.
“For me and my brothers [Luke and Andrew], there just wasn’t a bigger influence on us,” Owen Wilson said.
RAPPER HANDCUFFED AT AIRPORT

A video on Khalifa's Instagram site shows three U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers pinning Khalifa to the floor on Saturday and telling him to quit resisting. "I am not resisting, sir," Khalifa, 27, says in the video.
NOT A HAPPY ‘FULL HOUSE’
At least one former Full House cast member didn't seem to enjoy Lifetime's The Unauthorized Full House Story when it aired Saturday night, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner, didn't directly call out the film but tweeted: "So bad. Just so bad" at the time the film was airing.
