‘Million Dollar Listing Miami’ personality: I know the next real estate hot spot

CHRIS LEAVITT
CHRIS LEAVITT

Chris Leavitt knows more about luxury real estate than your average bear, but he’s also kind of a whiz when it comes to style. The sharply dressed one-time castmate from Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Miami, which ended its eight-episode run last summer, will show off his sartorial know-how as co-host of an informal fashion show at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Neiman Marcus Palm Beach store. Leavitt, a broker with Douglas Elliman, will talk fall trends for men and women while DJ Adam Lipson spins and light bites are served.

We chatted with the Massachusetts native before the event:

How has your summer been going so far?

All work and literally no play. I will be in St. Tropez and Cap Ferrat in a few weeks and I cannot wait! I think I may have to toss my phone off the boat by accident.

Do you have a mantra when it comes to fashion?

I always stay true to my style but remain open to fresh trends that give my existing look a new flair.

What have you been up to since “MDLM” stopped filming?

I am launching two new game-changer buildings that will shock the Miami and West Palm Beach markets, respectively. Personally, I am growing each day and trying to be a better, more compassionate person. I am about to launch a new charity arm within an existing charity that I will be able to speak to soon. The hint I can give you is that zero tolerance for bullying will become standard.

Which Bravo shows do you watch, if any?

My favorite is the scripted series Odd Mom Out. It’s so genius and on point and very close to home. It is my new Curb Your Enthusiam. Can’t stop watching and replaying this show.

Anything else happening in your career we should know about?

My TV career is exciting — I have been a guest on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria [Bartiromo], as well as done regular Bloomberg appearances and other news outlets around the globe. Another reality venture is in the works so stay tuned. My fans will be the first to know. Expect it to be positive, uplifting and devoid of drama and nonsense.

Do you ever hang out with Andy Cohen or anyone else from other reality series?

I don’t know Andy other than appearing on Watch What Happens Live. I absolutely adore Fredrik Eklund and Ryan Serhant from Million Dollar Listing New York both personally and professionally. We do many deals together, and they are the hardest-working guys in the business. The English guys, James Harris and David Parnes — aka the Bond Brothers — from the L.A. show are awesome and true gentlemen.

So in your expert opinion, what is the next hot ’hood right now?

West Palm Beach. This will be a city to be reckoned with in no time. It’s not just because I have a new project there but because it’s where many want to live.

Can you share some other real estate trends you are seeing?

It’s all about luxury, high style and design. People want the developers to over-deliver what they are already being promised. The buyer wants it all. Concierge services and the works. And at the price per square foot that is being asked of them, they should have it!
