Eva Mendes works it in Aventura
Eva Mendes took off her actress hat to play spokesmodel for a Saturday appearance at Nordstrom Aventura.
The 41-year-old, the new face of Estee Lauder’s New Dimension skincare line, looked absolutely stunning in a scarlet Halston Heritage draping, mid-calf dress.
Mendes is happy for the new gig but was missing 10-month-old daughter Esmeralda (dad is Ryan Gosling).
“Part of me is conflicted when it comes to work,” Mendes told CBS-4’s Lisa Petrillo. “I think that’s something most mothers can relate to.”
The Place Beyond the Pines star signed bottles of the products for attendees and talked about — what else? — cosmetics.
“I was born at the beauty counter!” said Mendes, who was actually born in Miami but moved as a baby.
MAN VS. FOOD
Kevin Bacon cut loose in Kissimmee on Monday. The Footloose actor, who can currently be seen in ads touting the importance of a protein-filled breakfast for the American Egg Board, visited the Give Kids the World resort near Walt Disney World. Bacon squared off in an ice cream-eating contest to see who can eat the most spoonfuls in six seconds. Give Kids the World provides weeklong vacations to families who have kids with terminal illnesses. Bacon is the founder of SixDegrees.org, which encourages celebrities to use their fame to benefit worthy causes. Bacon is visiting the Village to highlight the fact that everyone is six degrees or less away from knowing a child with a life-threatening illness.
