LUCKY BREAK
A court in Argentina has revoked an arrest warrant that was issued for Justin Bieber for an alleged attack on a photographer in Buenos Aires in 2013, but the charges against him still stand, a court official said Wednesday.
Judge Alberto Julio Banos had earlier ordered the “immediate detention” of Bieber and two of his bodyguards in connection with the alleged attack. Although the international arrest order initially issued by Interpol in April has now been lifted, the charges against him have not been dropped, and the court is still expected to set a date for questioning.
Bieber was accused of sending the bodyguards to attack a photographer outside a Buenos Aires nightclub during a 2013 South American tour. On the same trip, he apologized for defiling the Argentine flag on stage and got into trouble with police for allegedly spraying graffiti in Brazil and Colombia.
NO EXIT
Chris Brown’s departure from Manila was delayed Wednesday because of fraud allegations against him and his promoter for a canceled concert last New Year’s Eve in the Philippines. The recording artist, who performed Tuesday night in Manila, was prevented from leaving on a private plane Wednesday, pending clearance by the Bureau of Immigration. The religious group that owns the New Year’s Eve concert venue petitioned the Philippines Department of Justice for help prosecuting the singer. A Philippines Bureau of Immigration spokeswoman said Brown and his promoter were placed on the bureau’s “lookout bulletin.”
WASN’T ME
Chris Young wants everyone to know that he wasn’t the third party in the Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert divorce. “I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will,” the country singer, 30, wrote on Facebook. “My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys.”
