Martha Stewart vs. Gwyneth Paltrow: Lifestyle war!

The battle is heating up between Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The November issue of Martha Stewart Living presents a Thanksgiving food spread titled “Conscious Coupling,” an obvious dig at Paltrow’s highbrow way of describing her “conscious uncoupling,” aka split, with Chris Martin.

Stewart may resent the fact that Paltrow, who runs the lifestyle website Goop.com, is a competitor. In the fall issue of Porter mag, the 73-year-old domestic goddess said, “She just needs to be quiet — she’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”

Last week, while speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, Paltrow responded sarcastically: “No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated. I’ll try to recover.”

SUPER MOM

Stars — they’re just like us. Not really! When Jennifer Lopez goes to a pumpkin patch with her kids, she arrives in style. The entertainer dressed down for the occasion on Saturday in Los Angeles, in strategically ripped white jeans, high tops and a plaid shirt. But her ride: A convertible Bentley. That shouldn’t draw too much attention, right? Lopez’s escort was not a romantic interest but her on again manager Benny Medina.

BIKE ACCIDENT

A Swedish model who was bicycling in New York City has been struck by a bus and hospitalized in critical condition. Anna Maria Mostrom, 29, was struck last Wednesday while riding to her home on Roosevelt Island, in the East River between Manhattan and Queens. Police say the bus driver remained at the scene and has not been charged. The Daily News reports Mostrom was a contestant on the Scandinavian version of Top Model in 2005. Mostrom moved to New York about two years ago. She had been working to transition from modeling to other creative endeavors.

SOUL MAN

Despite Chris Brown’s legal issues, he’s still considered one helluva singer — he is the top nominee for the Soul Train Awards. The R&B troublemaker racked up seven nominations, including best R&B/soul male artist and song of the year for Loyal. Beyonce earned six nominations and Pharrell Williams followed with five. Williams and Beyonce will be competing against each other for album of the year, along with John Legend, Drake, Janelle Monae and (yes) Michael Jackson. Hosted by Wendy Williams, the STAs will be presented on Nov. 7 in Las Vegas and air on Nov. 30 on BET.

NEXT!

They never formally came out as a couple and now they’re done-o. Richard Gere, 65, and Padma Lakshmi, 44, decided they’d be better off as friends, a source told Page Six. The American Gigolo star is the first man the Top Chef host dated since her billionaire boyfriend Teddy Forstmann died from brain cancer in 2011. As for Gere, he split with Carey Lowell last year after 11 years of marriage.
