Want the good news or bad news?
OK, we’ll start with the positive part: Enrique Iglesias is on the mend after a nasty confrontation with a panoramic drone during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico, last month.
He was recovered enough to perform in a special concert for U.S. troops at Fort Sill in Oklahoma last weekend.
But now for the not-so-great: According to a police report obtained by NBC 6, the I Like It crooner was pulled over during a traffic stop in Dade County shortly before his trip to Mexico after the car in which he was riding made allegedly suspicious moves behind the wheel, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
As per the report, Iglesias was charged with three misdemeanor counts on what allegedly went down in the express lanes on the northbound lanes of I-95 between 62nd and 79th streets, near the home he shares with longtime girlfriend Anna Kournikova.
Iglesias was traveling in a white Cadillac Escalade SUV; a trooper on duty saw it cross from the regular lanes into the express lanes, which were closed at the time. FHP says when the vehicle was stopped, the driver was seen jumping into the back seat and the passenger into the driver’s seat.
A cop observed the driver to be the global superstar, who was charged with three misdemeanors — obstructing an officer without violence, driving with an expired license and knowingly driving with a suspended license. Iglesias invoked his Miranda rights and was released after signing an order to appear in court July 10.
As for the passenger who did the alleged switcharoo? Tour manager Abel Tabuyo waived his rights, saying he didn’t know why he traded places with the Spanish crooner and entered a not-guilty plea, just as Iglesias did.
Fourth time seems to be the charm for Kelsey Grammer. The 60-year-old actor was all smiles in Miami Beach late last week with his wife, Kayte Walsh, 26 years his junior. The mother of two showed off a taut tummy in an orange bikini; the pair was photographed by paparazzi in the surf holding coconut drinks with a straw.
Walsh and Grammer first met in December 2009 while the pretty Brit was working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic and the former Frasier star was a first-class passenger.
Good time to take a vacation. They have two kids with birthdays coming up this month: a son, Gabriel, who turns 2 on July 22, and a daughter, Faith, who turns 5 on the 13th.
David Cassidy’s home can possibly be yours. The ’70s heartthrob’s Fort Lauderdale house is hitting the auction block. A federal bankruptcy court has ordered the onetime star of The Partridge Family to auction off his 6,400-square-foot, six-bedroom waterfront home on Sept. 9. According to Broward County property records, the 65-year-old bought the home in 2001 for $1.1 million. Fisher Auction Company is overseeing the sale. In February, Cassidy filed for bankruptcy protection.
In related news, telenovela turned movie star Carlos Ponce is selling his digs, according to Realtor.com. The 6,600-square-foot, six-bedroom, two-story Pinecrest home is listed for $2.85 million. Agent Vivian Marin of Fortune International Realty has the listing, located on a cul de sac. The spread is definitely not your everyday McMansion; built in 1957, the house recently underwent a major renovation, Marin said.
Not a bad deal for fans of Kid Rock: $20 tickets are still available for his July 16 show at West Palm Beach Coral Sky Amphitheater. According to a news release, prices are fair to “keep fees down and scalpers at bay.” You’ll have access to seats from the second row to the lawn. livenation.com.
