Jimmy Fallon hurts himself, cancels show

The Tonight Show will be a rerun Friday night. Why? In a statement. Jimmy Fallon’s rep reports the host injured his hand under unknown circumstances Friday morning that required him to have minor surgery. Hmm. After taping Thursday, Fallon was photographed partying with a few fans at an Italian restaurant in NYC. The funnyman will have time to recover: The Tonight Show goes on hiatus June 29-July 10.

In related news, Rumer Willis will be sitting out the Dancing With the Stars: Live! tour due to an injury. The 26-year-old, who won the mirrorball trophy in May, shared the news on Instagram, writing she had a few stress fractures in her foot.

NEW ADDITION

Noah Wyle is a new dad. The Falling Skies star’s wife, Californication actress Sara Wells, gave birth to a girl, Frances, on Monday, according to the actor’s spokeswoman. Wyle and Wells married last summer at his Santa Barbara, California, ranch. He has a son and daughter from his first marriage.

SPREADING THE NEWS

Bristol Palin still hasn’t announced who the father of her unborn child is. The daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin announced the pregnancy on her blog Thursday, adding that she knows this is a “huge disappointment” for her family, close friends and fans. Bristol was an 18-year-old unwed mother when she launched an abstinence campaign soon after giving birth to Tripp in December 2008. She was engaged to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, but the wedding was called off last month. It is unclear how far along the former Dancing with the Stars contestant is.

DOMESTIC ACCIDENT

Michael Bublé’s son Noah was admitted to a Buenos Aires hospital with severe burns after an accident with scalding water. The 22-month-old somehow came into contact with scalding water. Bublé’s wife, Argentinian actress Luisana Lopilato, responded to the multiple outlets with a Facebook and Twitter post thanking everyone and reporting that the tot is doing better.

PLANE TRAGEDY

The cause of James Horner’s death was blunt force trauma, said Ventura County Deputy Medical Examiner Zeb Dunn. The Titanic and Avatar composer, 61, died Monday when his plane crashed and burned in a remote area of the Los Padres National Forest, northwest of L.A.

So what went wrong between Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol? The couple recently split, and sources close to the singer and the TV producer tell People that Ebersol is “torn up” so we’re assuming the pop singer was the one to have pulled the plug.
