Sorry, Breaking Bad fans, you’re going to have to make do with Better Call Saul — that Instagram post from Aaron Paul about a sequel for Jesse Pinkman was a joke.
The Washington Post reports that the actor posted over the weekend: “Can’t wait to tell you what this is all about. It’s top secret for now but you all will know soon enough. It’s a new gig that I am over the moon about.”
On Periscope two days later, fans saw this: “About 15 minutes ago, Vince Gilligan told me that it was OK to tell the world how I saw fit that there will be in fact be a — oh man, I can’t believe I’ve got to tell you all this — there will be in fact a spinoff for Jesse Pinkman’s character from Breaking Bad, which is just phenomenal.”
Then, just as fans were surely swooning, he added: “And also — I feel so bad — everything I just said was not true,” he said. “I’m just bored in Boston, and I wish it was April Fool’s Day but it’s not.”
Paul, who’s in Boston filming a new movie called Central Intelligence, according to The Post, apologized profusely for the joke and added, “I love you all so much. Hugs and kisses.”
Romance can come alive among the undead. Just ask actors Emily Kinney and Norman Reedus,
The couple, who met on AMC’s zombie thriller The Walking Dead, are an item, sources told Us Weekly.
“They had a connection early on in the show,” a source told said, “but the romance developed recently. They’re still pretty guarded about it.”
Kinney’s character, Beth, was killed off in 2014, but Kinney, 29, and Reedus, 46, who plays zombie hunter Daryl, stayed in touch through texts and appearances at fan conventions, according to Us.
