Serena Williams encounters alligator during a quarantine bike ride: ‘Hecks to the no’

Serena Williams was full on Florida Woman last week.

While out for a bike ride in her Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood on Thursday, the tennis star caught a glimpse of something suspicious in a body of water.

Williams shot video on her Instagram stories, luckily captured by some a fan with the Twitter handle @Luke16572469.

At first, since the thing isn’t moving much, she surmises it’s a “rock formation.”

But, lo and behold, movement: Yep, it appears to be an alligator, staring right at her.

“I’m not trying to get too close because I’ll be the first to go. I ain’t trying to go out like that,” she says off camera. “I’m far away too because they fast, and right now, I’m not running my fastest.”

Williams wisely decided to put social distancing measures into effect, she joked, and escaped with all her limbs.

“Hecks to the no, nah-nah,” she said. “Y’all stay safe. I’m scared. I’m out of here.”
