Rapper Boosie Badazz says he doesn’t know George Zimmerman and didn’t beat him up
Contrary to what you may have heard, or read, Boosie Badazz did not, we repeat, did not engage with George Zimmerman at a Miami Walmart.
On Monday, the Internet was abuzz with a rumor that the rapper saw Zimmerman at the store and things got heated in the parking lot. As the story went, Zimmerman reached for some type of weapon, then Boosie beat him up so badly that Zimmerman was hospitalized.
Sorry, fake news.
Boosie took to social media to refute the rumor.
“Service announcement from Boosie,” he said in a video to his 6.7 million Instagram followers. “I never seen George in my life, but on TV. This is a lie. Leave me alone! I never seen George Zimmerman in my life. George don’t know me.”
The Louisiana native, 37, did also manage to mention that his spicy chicken flavor of Master P’s Rap Noodles would drop at Walmart on Friday, so there’s that.
As for Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of fatally shooting unarmed teen Miami-area Trayvon Martin in 2012, he’s been busy.
Last month, he filed a lawsuit against Martin’s family, prosecutors and others involved in the case he claims rested on false evidence.
