Pop culture addicts, get pumped for Florida Supercon. The comic convention will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the classic indie Clerks and director Kevin Smith will be on hand, his second time as event headliner.
The longtime Hollywood fixture will be featured in multiple panels, Q&As and events all weekend at the Miami Beach Convention Center June 25-28.
“I’m happy to be returning,” said Smith, adding a joke about his signature outfit, “Maybe it’ll be hot enough in Miami for me to finally take this stupid hockey jersey off!”
There will also be several opportunities to see other stars of some of Smith’s other movies, like Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks 2, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Dogma. One big name already confirmed: Joey Lauren Adams.

John Travolta will join his friend Buzz Aldrin at a gala to launch the legendary Apollo 11 astronaut’s new educational nonprofit, ShareSpace Foundation, and celebrate the Apollo 11 anniversary on July 18 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral next month.
History buffs: The black-tie affair will include a discussion led by Aldrin and Travolta about the iconic space mission. Guests will dine under an authentic Saturn V rocket from the Apollo program, one of three still remaining in the world.
Oh, and expect some possible action out on the floor: The Saturday Night Fever star can still bust a move or two; Aldrin impressed on Dancing with the Stars back in 2010.
“Thinking about this upcoming Apollo 11 anniversary, I am still in awe by the fact that I walked on the moon,” said Aldrin, 85. “That awe in me, and in each of us, must be the engine of future achievement.”
Tickets are limited at http://www.sharespace.org/ssf-gala or by calling 321-783-6836.

The single mom, 40, was holding hands with her toddler daughter Penelope, who turned 3 last month. Anderson later Instagrammed her adorable little girl sipping from a straw in a coconut.
