People magazine confirms that police were called after the 34 year old was behaving in a drunken manner and tried to kick down his room door at around 3 a.m.

No arrest was made.

It is unclear why the Olympic swimmer, a University of Florida alum, was at the hotel or if he was staying with anyone.

In August, his wife Kayla Rae Reid celebrated her bachelorette party in Miami despite the fact that she married the athlete back in January in Gainesville. They had a second, more formal wedding in September.

The couple have a one year old son, Caden.

In July, the decorated Olympian was banned 14 months from the sport for receiving an IV infusion without a therapeutic use exemption, which is prohibited.
