SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) – Puerto Rico reggaeton star Don Omar was arrested Wednesday in the U.S. territory on suspicion of domestic violence, according to police.

Authorities said in a statement that 36-year-old William Omar Landron Rivera was detained early Wednesday at a house in the northern coastal town of Vega Alta. Authorities said he is suspected of threatening his 26-year-old partner.

Some fans of Don Omar left messages of support on his Facebook page.
