It sure took them long enough. Longtime partners Alan Rickman and Rima Horton have finally tied the knot, the actor told German newspaper Bild. The actor and lecturer met in 1965 and have been living together since 1977, but only married “recently,” the 69-year-old Brit said. “It was great, because no one was there,” said the Love Actually star. After the wedding in New York we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and ate lunch.”
The Mike Comrie-Hilary Duff is heating up. The retired hockey player has responded to the singer’s divorce filing in which Duff asked for primary physical custody of their son, Luca, 3. But Comrie doesn’t want just visitation rights; he’s demanding joint custody. TMZ reports that sources close to Duff say she is concerned that Comrie parties too much. Back in February Duff filed for divorce a day after Comrie was spotted hitting on women at a Beverly Hills steakhouse. The date of separation is listed as as January 2013.
A pair of Elton John’s heart-shaped glasses has been stolen from the Memphis Rock n' Soul Museum. Police said the glasses, valued at around $2,000, were taken from a display case, which sustained no real damage and has been processed for fingerprints. A museum manager told officers someone would have to use a set of tools to remove them.
Could Gillian Anderson and Chris Martin be the couple du jour? Just a few weeks after the Coldplay rocker split from Jennifer Lawrence, Anderson reportedly asked him out, The Sun newspaper reports. A source told the paper: “They’re an unlikely combination but there's definitely chemistry between them.” Martin is way single: Gwyneth Paltrow officially filed for divorce after more than 11 years of marriage on Monday.
Teri Garr confirmed she had multiple sclerosis four years ago and her battle doesn’t seem to be getting any easier. RadarOnline published pictures of the Tootsie star in a wheelchair on a rare April 14 outing, looking frail and struggling with the help of a companion to get into the passenger’s side of a car. Garr was rumored to be one of David Letterman’s last guests before his May 20 finale, but judging by these pics it doesn’t look likely.

The Fifty Shades of Grey sequel will be a family affair. A spokeswoman for Universal Pictures confirmed Thursday that the husband of E L James, Niall Leonard, will write the script for the follow-up to the global hit. Leonard is also a published author and written for several British TV shows. Makes sense for the duo: Fifty Shades made $568.8 million worldwide.
