Reese Witherspoon got into a Miami state of mind.

The Oscar winner jetted into town Monday with costar Sofia Vergara doing Spanish press for their upcoming buddy comedy Hot Pursuit, opening May 8.

The two ladies took advantage of all our town had to offer. According to their social media accounts, Witherspoon got some liquid energy from a cafecito. “@sofiavergara introduced me to a little, teeny weeny secret weapon called Cuban coffee!!!!! Apparently it makes you put exclamations on everything!!!!!!!” Witherspoon wrote on Facebook. The actress also showed off some Spanish skills: “Um … Miami te amo!” while posing out on her hotel terrace overlooking Miami Beach.

On Tuesday, the (probably) exhausted pals woke up early for Univision’s Despierta America, where Colombian pastries were on hand as a nod to Vergara’s heritage.

As for the Modern Family star, life’s not all sweet these days. Despite having landed one of the hottest men on the planet, Joe Manganiello, her ex is stirring up trouble. Nick Loeb seems to want to have a baby, with or without the Colombian actress. The part time Delray Beach resident recently filed a suit in California to prevent her from destroying two cryopreserved female embryos the ex couple created through IVF.

In a statement through his lawyer, Loeb said he created the embryos “with the purpose of taking them to term and not destruction, because I have always dreamed of being a father.” Vergara has denied that she wants the embryos destroyed.

BEACH BABE

Katie Cassidy is making waves of her own — but in a good way. Paparazzi pics captured David Cassidy’s daughter in Miami Beach in a skimpy bikini. Though she plays a vigilante, Black Canary, on CW’s Arrow, she definitely didn’t look the part. The 28-year-old also posted a pic of the shoreline to Instagram with a one-word caption: “Beautiful.”

SARA’S NIGHT

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will headline the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center biennial gala Saturday at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.

Bareilles’ pop anthem Brave has been incorporated as the theme of the gala, celebrating the patients who battle cancer daily at Sylvester. Join philanthropists and community leaders to support the center’s research programs, celebrate progress and honor their most-dedicated champions. Tickets are $1,000 for individuals, and tables begin at $10,000.

The Love Song singer was not doing local interviews as she is super busy with her musical Waitress, an adaptation of the 2007 film about a married pregnant woman who begins an affair with her ob-gyn. Performances begin in August at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

PASTEL PARTY

Sunday Funday: Guests donned their finest neon gear for the XIV Neon Miami Vice themed party featuring DJ Duo Posso, marking the relaunch of the party series at Hyde Beach. No Don Johnson sightings, but Flo Rida was at the club — transformed into a glowing electronic danceteria — mingling with the crowd and taking photos with fans.
