Padma Lakshmi’s fun in the Miami sun with daughter

While in town for Miami Book Fair Saturday to chat about her “Encyclopedia of Spices & Herbs,” Padma Lakshmi managed to squeeze in a little me time. The “Top Chef” beauty paid a visit to celebrity hair stylist, Danny Jelaca at his namesake salon in Miami Beach, he reports.

The 46-year-old single mother of one went in for “a polished version of a beachy wave” using texturizing salt spray and a curling wand. “She’s always such a joy to have in my chair,” said Jelaca. “She’s a beautiful woman inside and out, which makes my work look that much better!” Lakshmi extended her visit to spend some beach time with her daughter Krishna, 6, and documented their fun on Instagram.

Krishna’s dad is Padma’s ex, Theodore 'Teddy' Forstmann.

Lakshmi calls Krishna her miracle baby as the India native suffers from painful endometriosis.
