Those screams heard outside the AMC Sunset Place theater Tuesday night were for none other than Tyler Perry, the star power behind his upcoming big screen spoof “Boo! A Madea Halloween,” out Oct. 21.

Dressed casually in jeans, a hoodie and baseball cap, Perry arrived a few minutes before a fan screening and stopped to talked to press on his way in.

“Nice crowd out tonight,” said the star, taller than he appears on screen. “I didn’t see any scary clowns, so that’s good.”

In the film, Perry dons his wig, glasses fat suit and signature floral dress to channel Madea who is forced to defend herself on the scariest day of the year against goblins, poltergeists and demons. “She goes a little crazier than usual in this one,” laughed Perry of his bad-ass alter ego, “and that’s saying a lot!”

Perry also impressed with a little Spanish for Miamians — he knew “Hola,” (hi) “abogado” (lawyer), “padre,” (father). Plus: “I know some bad words I can’t say.”
