Blast Beam Bang looks Like Survivor-Like Chaos With a Bit More Skill

Solo developer SWAGamesDev has officially released a Steam demo for the upcoming roguelite arena shooter, Blast Beam Bang, giving players an early chance to dive into its chaotic robot-filled battles. Developed in Poland, the game takes inspiration from the wave-survival formula popularized by titles like Vampire Survivors, but with a stronger emphasis on aiming, movement, and moment-to-moment decision-making.

Instead of automatically attacking enemies while dodging incoming threats, Blast Beam Bang asks players to take a more active role in the action. Weapons and abilities require manual aiming, creating a faster, more hands-on style of combat as robotic enemies flood the arena.

Of course, surviving isn't just about quick reflexes. Like most roguelites, players will steadily improve their build during each run by selecting perks, upgrading weapons, and experimenting with different ability combinations to see what works best against increasingly overwhelming enemy waves.

The newly released demo offers a preview of that gameplay loop, letting players test builds, battle swarms of robotic enemies, and experiment with explosive upgrades before the full release.

According to creator SWAGamesDev, the goal behind Blast Beam Bang was to capture what makes survivor-likes so addictive while giving players more agency during combat. In a statement, the developer described the project as an attempt to mix the familiar progression systems of the genre with more active gameplay and larger, more satisfying ability upgrades.

With its top-down perspective, frantic combat, and build-focused progression, Blast Beam Bang seems aimed squarely at fans of roguelites, arena shooters, and anyone who enjoys turning a chaotic battlefield into a fireworks display.

The Blast Beam Bang demo is available to download and play now on Steam.
