Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a Puerto Rican musician and six-time Grammy Award winner who has been making music since 2013. While his music is mainly in Spanish, Bad Bunny has become a global superstar who has become unavoidable. And yes, he speaks English.

Bad Bunny, 31, has earned numerous gold, platinum and even diamond plaques for his hit songs, including “Monaco,” “Baile Inolvidable” and “Moscow Mule”

Bad Bunny has collaborated with pop stars like Cardi B and Drake. His 2018 collaboration with Cardi B and J. Balvin, “I Like It,” was a smash hit for the Bronx rapper and helped her win a “Best Rap Album” Grammy in 2019.

His 2025 album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” was the first Spanish-language album to win a Grammy for Album of the Year in 2026.

Streaming platform Spotify confirmed that Bad Bunny was its most streamed artist in the world in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2025.

Hottest tours/residencies

In 2022, Bad Bunny’s “World’s Hottest Tour” grossed $314 million across 32 North American and 11 South American dates.

Bad Bunny had a sold-out residency in Puerto Rico last summer titled “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” (I Don’t Want to Leave Here) that brought in more than half a million attendees and reportedly brought in millions of dollars in revenue for the island. He then took the tour to Latin America and Europe, skipping the United States because he said in an interview he was concerned the immigration crackdown in the United States could affect his fans.

Fashion issues don’t happen with Bad Bunny. He makes fashion happen. In 2024, he was a co-chair of the 2024 Met Gala and he has a lucrative partnership with adidas and his sneakers often sell out as soon as they’re available online.

Bad Bunny is an ardent supporter for the LGBTQ+ community, sometimes even wearing androgynous outfits.

Bad Bunny has appeared frequently on “Saturday Night Live” both as host and musical guest. He has also appeared in “F9,” the ninth installment of the Fast & Furious movie series and guest starred in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2”.
