In an exclusive Us Weekly cover story, Vanderpump Rules alum Jax Taylor opened up about his sobriety journey, divorce and more, revealing what prompted him to finally come forward about his cocaine addiction. “It’s really embarrassing, especially at this stage of my life being a father, being 45 years old, but I wanted it to come out of my mouth — exactly in my own words. This was the right time for me. I’m fresh out of rehab. I’m doing the therapy. This is a good place,” Taylor told Us. The Bravo star checked himself into an inpatient treatment facility in July 2024, where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD. One month later, Brittany Cartwight filed for divorce from Taylor. The former couple welcomed son Cruz in April 2021. According to Taylor, fatherhood was a motivating factor for his sobriety journey. “I solely believe that I’m only here right now because of him. He’s the light of my life, my everything, my angel, my heartbeat. Everything I do is for him,” Taylor told Us. For more exclusive updates and top stories, scroll below:
