Former soccer star Ashlyn Harris got candid about where she stands with ex-wife Ali Krieger after their divorce. In a new podcast interview, 39-year-old Harris reflected on the “grieving process” that comes with navigating the end of a marriage in the public eye, emphasizing that she “will not allow” any negative comments about the breakup “in my presence or around my children.” Harris added that she doesn’t want kids Sloane and Ocean, whom she coparents with Krieger, to feel “like they have to choose sides” as a result of the breakup. While she and Krieger, who were married for nearly four years before their 2023 split, aren’t in a “perfect place” with one another right now, Harris hopes they’ll “get there” eventually. “I think all I want for my ex-wife is to be happy and she’s in a new relationship that brings her a lot of joy,” Harris said. Both athletes have moved on following their divorce — Harris is dating actress Sophia Bush, while Krieger went public with Scottish soccer player Jen Beattie last fall.
